There are many advantages of ultrasound surgery over traditional, open surgery: fewer traumas to adjacent organs, smaller incisions, more precise control in surgery and faster recuperation. Especially cardiac, tumour, cataract and equally serious surgeries are now performed using microscopic size incisions and advanced ultrasonic equipment.
Translating all technological attributes of a state-of-the-art medical device into an appropriate design language was the task of this study. Developing a medical device, that is most easy-to-handle, precise, flexible and mobile. As a result, we have delivered to the surgeon a unit that appears in a distinctively shaped body shell and with a state-of-the-art interface that conveys all its technical achievements.
