Project: Thesis work by Simon Sebastian
INVESTIGATION ON CHAOS AND ORDER
Simon’s final thesis at Honda R&D Europe was a journey into micro- and macro-formalism, material exploration and about pushing aesthetic borders. By reducing the mechanical treatment of sheet metal to a minimum he developed a strained and somehow “dissolved” new body shell. Besides the material properties, the design was guided by logarithmic patterns and serendipity. Simon’s work was co-supervised by Honda’s Oluf Bendixen, Professor Lutz Fügener and SDC’s Oliver Schweizer.
